At Covenant Christian Center, one of our core beliefs is seed time and harvest.



Seed time and harvest is the idea that in order to reap something from God, you have to have sufficient seed in the ground. If you do not sow , you cannot reap. Tithing is also a very important part of seed time and harvest. A tithe is considered to be 10 percent of your income and it is a covenant obligation that predates even the old covenant. When we tithe our first 10% we are sowing the seed for God to bless the rest of the 90%.

(10) As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, (11) so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11
